The hotel is very pretty, well appointed and sitting beside the river. Our room was very spacious and clean with good quality sheets and duvet covers, the bathroom had a tiled step up to the shower which could be dangerous. The air conditioning was a plus, as we had a very busy road junction just outside the windows and couldn’t leave them open. The staff were very accommodating, and helped us move to a courtyard room on our last night, which was very quiet and although smaller than our first room, still very comfortable. We enjoyed the bar they also offered a small bar food menu, but not so many guests were in there, we just felt it needed a bit of life to perk it up.

Room was spacious and well equipped as was bathroom. The hotel was spotless throughout. The young team were all friendly and efficient. We ate in the restaurant which was excellent. Good menu choices and all the dishes (we were a group of seven) were well cooked and presented (definitely the best hotel restaurant in Henley, possibly the best overall). There was a good ambiance in both the bar and restaurant. Breakfast was good but perhaps not to the standard of the food in the evening. Though not particularly cheap, compared to other hotels in the town it offers very good value for money

As soon as I arrived the team and particularly the Receptionist were charming and friendly . I was in a flying hurry to get to the Regatta and they managed my luggage into my room and me out of the door in record time . The food was delicious and arrived very quickly when ordered. The bedroom was super comfortable , The Doorman helped me cross the road and carried my Regatta luggage - Lots of dresses ! to the car in such a genuine and friendly way - He was great ! The lady in the front coffee shop showed me round her shop even when she was busy packing up after a long day .

The staff were all super. Because there is no parking on site(drop off is fine),I rang the hotel before arriving, and the receptionist was really helpful explaining we could park overnight in the Rugby Club for £10. When we arrived ,we left our cases and drove the half mile (10 minute walk back) The reception then advised on local pubs, rang taxis to and from our wine tasting at Chiltern Valley. We ate in the restaurant ,great food and service. Again ,lovely staff. Breakfast the next morning was magnificent. All in all ,super stay.

Our room was apparently an upgrade, for over£400 for two nights not including breakfast i would have been very disappointed with anything less. I have stayed in many hotels throughout the uk, the room was adequate, great view but the bathroom was very small, a bath option would have been nice. A big issue is no parking, having to squeeze into the front and run in with your cases then move and find parking, was a big negative .
